任务相互依赖程度提高不会导致效果的提高（an increasing level of task interdependence did not enhance effectiveness by itself），相反，正向的结果相互依赖性降低或负向结果相互依赖提高会导致任务相互依赖与小组效果下降（increased task interdependence accompanied by decreasing levels of positive or increasing levels of negative outcome interdependence appeared to be related to reduced effectiveness）
研究的缘由
工作组成员的相互依赖是组织工作的中心工作。（INTERACTION AMONG WORK-GROUP MENBERS is central to organizational work .）组织成员应该相互提供信息建议和帮助使彼此的工作顺利进展(Interdependent work-group members are expected to facilitate others’ task performances by providing each other with information,advice,help . )，但事实上去是相互阻碍工作的进行。
