1、If you use a statistical software program to perform ttests, the program will give you a p-value.
2、The p-value for a t-test is the probability that the two samples have the same underlying mean.
3、If the p-value is less than a, conclude that a statistical difference between mean values exists.
4、In Microsoft Excel, you may perform t-tests using the function =ttest(array 1, array 2, # of tails, type of test) where type of test is either a 1, 2, or 3:
1=paired t-test; 2= assume equal variances; 3= assume unequal
